The Gillingham Rest B&B in Ulceby has parking for 8 cars and enjoys very easy access from the main road. More on-site parking is available if needed. The car park area is partially lit. The front door to the main building is a very short walk from the car park, over a level tarmac area.

We will be happy to assist you with carrying your luggage if requested.

Indoors

The building is accessed through a single front door which is generally kept locked for security. A doorbell pushbutton is provided. There is a small step down from the front door into the main Reception area. The Dining Room is also located on the ground floor and has one step, also from the main Reception area.

All bedrooms are situated on the first floor, which is accessible by a staircase comprising a series of 11 steps. A handrail is provided. The spacious twin room has short-pile carpet and ensuite shower with a step into the shower cubicle. All bedrooms are on one level, accessible across the upstairs landing.

Our premises are generally well lit and fully compliant with the latest fire protection standards, including fire exit signage and fire doors.

Local Transport Services

A local bus service connects with outlying villages, Barton on Humber and Scunthorpe / Grimsby. More information is available from the Ulceby Parish Council website. Bus stops are in the village centre and also approx. 400 yards away near the junction of Coronation Road.

Ulceby Railway Station (ULC) is approximately ¾ mile down the road at Ulceby Skitter and there is a hill en route. It has a simple open platform with automatic barriers. The next nearest stations are Habrough (2½ miles) and Barnetby le Wold (5 miles) . More details of amenities and services at National Railway Enquiries.

Ulceby is conveniently positioned for the local port of Immingham (7 miles) and Humberside International Airport is just 4 miles away.

Mobile phone coverage: O2 (also, Tesco Mobile) is amongst the best for signal strength in Ulceby, note that Orange is generally poor in our locality. A BT phone booth is located a few moments from Ulceby level crossing (1 mile), with another booth in the centre of the village on Front Street.
